In this concentration, I focused on the human footprint: what humans leave behind. Unfortunately, we treat the world as if it means nothing to us even though without this world, we'd all be nothing. These photos are taken in our town, Somerset. While some people go to the beach to see the beautiful sunset, when I go to the beach I see dropped lighters, plastic, cups and much more. These images focus on the discarded trash left in an otherwise beautiful setting. Although in most images I use point of view and depth of field to force the viewer to see that trash in the scene, in other images, such as the lifeguard stand and keys in leaves I make the viewer search for what is discarded or ruined by the human hand. I take the photos with the intent of showing the viewer the negative impact that humans have destroying the environment.
